and explain why you like wearing it.
People around the world wear different sorts of dresses and due to geographical location and seasonal changes, the attires vary. I always prefer wearing jeans clothes, especially jeans pant and shirt.
Jeans are common clothing items and are available around the world and mostly popular among the youths who are of my age. I wear jeans pant and shirt always even when I attend in any formal occasion. The most important benefit of wearing jeans clothing is that they do not become dirty as easily as the other types of clothes do. Moreover, you can have the pant and shirt of all size and shape and are sold at a reasonable price. They are found in different colours and attractive designs too. It makes the look smarter in some cases than the formal attires.
Usually, the jeans cloth is like all the other available clothes, and produced from jean fabric but it is special in the sense that it lasts longer than the other clothes. Jeans is a bit heavier in weight and thus the attires made with the cloths are of higher quality. Besides, the colours are also attractive and able to get attentions of the surrounding people for the distinguished design. The pants and shirts made with jeans cloths are like usual shirt and pants but you can use them both for formal and informal purposes whereas the other clothes are not suitable to serve the same purpose simultaneously.

and explain why you want to try this foreign food.
There is a foreign food that I would really like to try, but I wonder if my choice will surprise you? I will tell you what it is, how I learned about it, where it is mostly eaten and explain why I want to taste it so badly.
The food is…. Pizza! Now, of course, this is a food that you can buy all over the world, and I really enjoy the pizza that I can buy in my home country which is England in the UK. However, I recently learned from a friend that the style of pizza available here is nothing like the authentic Italian pizza you can get if you visit its country of origin, and since then, it’s one of the things on my bucket list. That is, something I’d like to do before I die is to travel to Italy, find a local pizzeria and get a really authentic pizza.
So how did I learn what I’ve been missing? I shop regularly at a local family owned delicatessen. The proprietor is Italian, and he is a great foody – that is he takes food very seriously, sourcing only the best ingredients. He and his wife are both vegetarian like me, so they often suggest food or recipes. The other day we were talking and he was bemoaning the lack of ‘proper’ pizzas in this country. He told me that whilst of course, Italian food is very regional including its pizzas, they are nevertheless distinctive. All pizzas MUST be cooked in a wood-fired oven for a start, the dough should be tossed by hand. The pizza should only be made with the very freshest and finest ingredients, and is best eaten outdoors too, of course, against the backdrop of the Italian countryside!
Pizza is eaten everywhere in Italy, though of course approximations of pizza can be bought the world over. Even so, my deli friend has persuaded me I’ve been missing out, and I’d like to find out for myself how different it might taste if I go for an authentic recipe, venue and location. I’ve never had a real pizza, and I’ve never been to Italy either, I think it would be a winning combination – not to mention that it would also be a great excuse to go to a beautiful country that I have yet to visit. What do you think, would you like to come too?

I pass most of the time with my computer table when I am at home. This is the favourite piece of furniture for me. In fact, I am in love with this furniture. This is a very interesting question to deal with. Thank you for this nice candidate task card topic. Hope you will enjoy the description of the table in brief now.
This is a wooden computer table. I use it for various purposes. Mostly I use the table for using my personal computer. But sometimes, I also use it as a reading and writing table as well. I do not have any other tables in my room. So, the computer table plays multifarious roles for me. You may also be surprised hearing that often I use this table for dining too.
The table is made with oak wood. And it is black in colour. The table was made by the local carpenter. He made the table with the finest oak woods so that it could sustain for years. Yes, he did his best to make the table. I have been using the table for over six consecutive years. By this period of time, there are no notable changes in the table. There are only some scratches on its back. Even the colour of the table has also not been faded at all. There are also issue with the wooden table that they do not last long or get damaged. Luckily, I did not have such experiences so far with the table.
I use the table frequently. In fact, it is used around the day when I am at home. To be honest, I spend less time on my bed than this table. I play games, watch movies, browse the Internet, make my assignments and many more things. Sometimes, I place my coffee mug on the table while watching any movies or shows on the Internet. The multi purpose use of the table has made if favourite to me. Almost half of the day of mine is spent with this table. I have a chair and I sit comfortably there while using the table.
The table is my favourite furniture for many reasons. The most important reason is that I feel comfortable with the table. I keep my necessary documents and stuffs like my wallet, keys, cell phone charger etc. inside the drawer. The table is the permanent place for my cell phones. I put the phones on the table always when I return home. Besides, being moderately large, the table has ample space to keep many other things on it. So, I also have placed a small flower vase on there. It has helped greatly to change the look of my bed room. Considering the reasons, this is my favourite piece of furniture.

Well, the most courteous man I know is my uncle, who’s my father’s little brother. We are pretty close. He’s only 10 years older than me and we always hang out together. He’s well educated, I mean, he just got his doctoral degree. He’s been to a bunch of formal occasions, and he’s quite familiar with social etiquette.
Whenever he’s out with someone, he’s always properly dressed. I didn’t get why he would go through so much trouble to “impress” others, but he explained, the whole point was not to impress, but to show respect.
And he’s super modest when talking to others. Besides, he’s a good listener. He never cuts others off. It always feels good when I have a conversation with him.
And he’s extremely polite when interacting with waiters and taxi drivers. He would say thank you many times after he’s been helped.
On top of that, he pays attention to small details in our daily life, like knocking on doors before entering a room, holding the door for others behind him, and holding the elevator when he sees someone rushing to the door.
So you see, he’s really a nice person, and he’s a good influence on me. Spending time with him has helped me become a better person.

And explain why you think this neighbour is interesting
I’m lucky, I’ve got good neighbours. I’m going to tell you about just one of them, when we met, how often we meet and why I think he is a good neighbour who I like very much.
I live in an old house which has been converted into about eleven different flats and bedsits. I live on the top floor, which is actually the modernised attic space of the original building, there is just one other flat in this roof area. To get to my flat, and that of my immediate next door neighbour, you have to go up a back stairway that was probably originally the servants’ staircase, I think what is now my flat and that of my neighbour’s too, must have been at one time servants’ quarters. This means that our doorways are directly opposite one another, and we are the only people who use this entrance to the building.
I moved into the flat I live in about five or six years ago now. It is a rented flat. At that time the flat opposite me was empty, but a few weeks later I met a woman a little bit older than me who was busy cleaning just inside the flat, but with the door wide open. I paused to introduce myself and talk to her. She was really friendly, and I found out it was her son who was to be my new neighbour, she was just helping him to move in. A bit later he, Oliver, turned up too. He was new to the area, so I explained where all the local shops were when the rubbish was taken out and various other little details about the practicalities of living in the property. A couple of days later he knocked on my door and called around for a chat. We found we got on really well. We have a very similar sense of humor, a shared (but slightly half-hearted) interest in running, and a mutual appreciation of good food – I could recommend the deli over the road to him as a source of lovely upmarket cheeses, olives and home-made lasagne and delicious pasta and pesto sauce too. We also both have an unfulfilled wanderlust, always plotting our next journey. He is off to Australia soon, lucky him!
Given how close we live together, our front doors face directly onto one another, we see each other incredibly rarely. We both have busy lives, working full time but different hours. At weekends I tend to be out and about, and he’ll often disappear for the weekend to stay with his girlfriend. Even so, whenever we do meet, it is always friendly, we make each other laugh. We often end up having long conversations just chatting in the hallway outside our front doors. I probably see him only once a fortnight or so, but we leave each other notes too from time to time if we need help with anything.
Oliver is a great neighbour because I know I could call on him if I needed to. We will always help each other if we can. I dug his car out of the snow for him once as he didn’t have a shovel, but he’s returned the favour in other ways, taking in parcels for me when I’m away for example. Because I live on my own it is really important to me to have a neighbour close by that I trust and like. I was really sad when he told me he was planning to emigrate. I was also really pleased for him, you have to wish someone well when they are following their dreams. I hope my new next-door neighbour is half as nice!

And explain why you think the parent is good.
Ok right then, well the parent I’d like to talk about is the mother of a good friend of mine, and the reason for choosing to talk about her is that my friend is always going on about how lucky he is to have such a nice mum. And from what I know about her, I’d say he’s absolutely right!
Anyway, as for how I know her, well it’s basically due to the fact that I went to the same middle school as her son. And because we became pretty good friends, we ended up seeing quite a lot of each other’s parents, especially during the holidays when we often went over to each other’s homes.
And regarding what his mother looks like, well interestingly enough, she actually looks pretty similar to my own mother, because they both have quite round faces and long wavy hair. Having said that though, I’ve noticed that my friend’s mother often ties her hair up in a bun, whereas my mother usually always keeps it down. And another thing to mention would be that whenever I see her, she always seems to be wearing red clothes of some sort, which I guess is probably because red suits her quite well.
But anyway, finally then, with regard to why I think she’s a good parent, well I’d say there are quite a few reasons, one of which would be that she’s always been very supportive to her son. And just to give you an example, when he was deciding what major to study at university, he ended up choosing music. And his mother gave him her full support, which is probably not what many other parents would have done, as music doesn’t really leave open a lot of career choices, if you know what I mean!
And I think it’s fair to say that nowadays, a lot of parents persuade their children to do things which they think are best for them, but my friend has said that his parents have never been like this with him, especially his mother. So I kind of get the impression that she’s never forced him to do anything against his will, and has always let him make his own decisions, which I think’s really great.

I have a sort of crush on Sima Guang, a prime minister from the Song dynasty, about 1000 years ago, and I find this crush rather queer, hard to explain, as he was a diehard conservative, while I embrace libertarian ideas. On most issues, I agree more with his political opponent Wang Anshi.
Sima Guang was held as a model Confucian politician and scholar by his contemporaries and later generations for his honesty, self-discipline and sense of morality. He was strict with others and stricter with himself, too tough to be charismatic. In politics, he was irrationally uncompromising, which to a certain extent damaged the prospects of the nation and his own career. Su Shi, one of his proteges, irritated at his obstinacy, nicknamed him ‘Sima Bull’.
I’m sure he isn’t the social, easy-going type, definitely unromantic. We wouldn’t get along well even if we met. But ever since the first time I heard of him in a primary history class, about a story that he cleverly saved a play pal from drowning in a water tank when he was just a little boy,I do find him cute in many aspects.
He was a faithful husband. Ancient China was a polygamous society. Men were allowed to marry a wife and take concubines. Although rigorous prerequisites were imposed, only men upholding high moral standards followed the laws to the word. And Sima Guang was one of the few. He refused to take a concubine even when his wife was found infertile and his conditions fulfilled the prerequisites. He got ruffled up whenever his wife pressed the issue.
It might sound a little hypocritical. Only those who know him truly are sure of his sincerity. In ancient China, people believed children (especially male ones) to be a testament to one’s integrity and God would punish those who commit moral or other despicable crimes with a childless curse. And a man has the obligation to continue his family line. Sima Guang must have been exceptionally courageous to face the possible moral pressure.
Sima Guang wasn’t a born saint. He used to hang out with courtesans and wrote some amorous poetry in his youth. On a few occasions, his opponents playfully confronted him with those poems. Imagine his embarrassment!
He was a neat freak. He was the editor-in-chief in compiling China’s first chronological history book, ‘Comprehensive Mirror to Aid in Government’, which covers the entire Chinese history from the Warring States period to the foundation of the Song dynasty. The project took 19 years, and the piles of drafts filled two rooms. People were awed by his team’s serious attitude when reading those drafts. Every page was neatly written, with only a minimum of corrections.
He was indifferent to wealth. When his wife died, he had to sell his only three acres of farmland to cover up the funeral cost.

We all as humans dream fancy about our houses. So, there are some who want all the luxuries in their house while some prefer living close to nature. I want my house to be a mimic of nature. So, I want a small waterfall in my house wherein I can take bath and then I want my house to have lot of flowers and be surrounded by trees. So, that in the evening when I wish to sit down, I should feel calm and serene from inside.
Then I want my house to have a library as well. Library of the books that I have already read, so it will be more like a collection of books that I love and could offer others to read and in the library there will be my study table and in one corner will be the place where I could look out of window and see the entire nature at its best and have something to drink or relax. There will be part of my house, where I will allow anyone to come in and sleep over and have food just for free. Because, I want people to travel and travel with entire safety. With nothing to worry I want them to explore this beautiful world.
Also, in my house I wish to have a beautiful field wherein I could go for jogging or play some games. I don’t wish for the most expensive house in the world but I wish for the house that is the most special for me.
